Hi everyone,

it’s Kahzel after an ultra long break of 5 years. Sorry for the long hiatus, had personal issues going on, I now have a child, going to work etc. and had to sort out all the things in my life.

Here we are again with I bought a girl, as I can’t find my Kisei Kanojo scans and have to look for them on my old hard drive. I’ll look for it though. I can’t promise any regular schedule, but I’ll give my best. As the previous translators that picked up after me have seemed to drop the story I will pick it up again. The chapters from Ebisu Translations are gone as I have seen it, so I’ll try to add them to my blog but that could take some time, maybe I’ll get them from some aggregator page, we’ll see.

The way of grandfather during the long holidays

“You did great to visit me. Come in.“ (Grandfather)

“Sorry for the intrusion.” (Masachika”)

“Sorry for the intrusion.” (Ruri-chan)

After we took off our shoes, we were greeted by a daikon stew, Zangi fried chicken [TN: this is Zangi] and Japanese pickles even though it was just 5 pm.

You’re pretty early, aren’t you old man?

“What the hell is this?” (Masachika)

“What did you say? You haven’t had dinner, right?” (Grandfather)

“I’ll eat, but it’s still just 5 pm…” (Masachika)

“If you’re complaining that much then you don’t have to eat it, Ruri-chan you’re eating, right?” (Grandfather)

“Yes, I’ll eat.“ (Ruri-chan)

Saying that Ruri-chan sat down on her knees in front of the food.

What!? Ruri-chan turned into my enemy!?

My grandfather who saw that laughed with satisfaction and sat down opposite to Ruri-chan.

“Good appetite.” (Ruri-chan)

“Dig in. Be sure to eat a lot.” (Grandfather)

“Yes.” (Ruri-chan)

Dinner time has begun.

It was still sunny outside, but we had already started eating.

I thought that it was to late to change it now and there’s always a first time and sat down next to Ruri-chan.

“What now. Didn’t you say you still don’t’ need anything to eat?” (Grandfather)

The old man made fun of me while giving me a devious smile.

Equipped with Ruri-chan as a powerful ally he was brimming with confidence.

“Well actually I am completely starving~! I will eat too, right~!” (Masachika)

I said while taking one of the Zangi with chopsticks.

As I did so grandpa also counterattacked.

“If Ruri-chan is raised like Masachika then it would be a disaster, innit~” (Grandfather)

I swallowed down the Zangi I picked up and retorted.

“That’s how it seems, isn’t it? Even so Ruri-chan and I are getting along great.” (Masachika)

I reached out to the daikon stew while saying so.

Then came the counterattack from grandpa.

“Hm. I am also getting along great in this short time with Ruri-chan, innit? Right, Ruri-chan?” (Grandfather)

Ruri-chan just put rice in her mouth and chewed, so she just nodded and bowed her head in agreement.

“There you are. How do you like that, the power of our relationship POWER?” (Grandfather) [TN: He says power in English and power in Japanese, therefore the English one in capital letters]

“What the hell is relationship POWER? Where the hell did you learn that?” (Masachika)

Are you talking in English or are you talking in Japanese, choose one of them!

“… Well, I’m glad that you’re getting along great with Ruri-chan.” (Grandfather)

Grandpa said while showing a small smile.

“Well, yeah.” (Masachika)

I also flashed a small smile.

“This stew is really good.” (Masachika)

“My mother taught me that in the past.” (Grandfather)

After that my grandfather told us stories from my childhood while we leisurely ate our dinner.

Ruri-chan was already finished and the food had settled in her stomach, the chopsticks were already put down and she just listened, when she straightened her back and opened her mouth.

“Masachika-san’s grandpa.” (Ruri-chan)

“Hm? Why are you so formal?” (Grandfather)

“Thank you very much.” (Ruri-chan)

Saying so she bowed her head while sitting on her knees.

I was just looking dumbfoundedly without knowing what was going on.

I looked at grandpa and I looked at Ruri-chan with a smile.

“Ruri-chan. I didn’t do anything.” (Grandfather)

“That’s not true. Because of grandpa I was able to meet Masachika.” (Ruri-chan)

“Hohoho. You’re saying quite a lot of mature things, innit.” (Grandfather)

So that’s the reason. I finally understood why she bowed her head.

It’s a thank you for bringing Ruri-chan and me together, huh?

In that sense, it’s true that we wouldn’t have met without that stupid advice of my grandpa.

“I also want to express my gratitude, too. Thank you, grandpa.” (Masachika)

“Even from you Masachika, you two are very respectful. That’s not like you.” (Grandfather)

Grandpa said so with a smile and closed his eyes.

“I wanted to say so today.” (Ruri-chan)

“Is the reason you wanted to come today so unexpectedly because of this?” (Masachika)

“Yes.” (Ruri-chan)

I was asking myself the reason why she came up with the topic of wanting to meet grandpa this suddenly, but that’s why, right?

“Masachika.” (Grandfather)

“Hm?” (Masachika)

“Raise her up well.” (Grandfather)

Grandpa said that with a serious face.

“… Of course I will do so.” (Masachika)

I intended to do that without you saying so again.

“Right. Then Ruri-chan let’s clean everything up!” (Masachika)

“Yes.” (Ruri-chan)

“You can leave it.” (Grandfather)

“That’s ok. Sometimes let me fulfill my duties as a child.” (Masachika)

I stood up and began cleaning up the dishes with Ruri-chan.

I wrapped up everything appropiately and put it into the refrigerator and put the dishes into the sink.

Then I washed the dishes I put in the sink with grandpa while Ruri-chan watched us while sitting on a chair behind us.

[Author’s note:]

Thank you for reading until this point.

I would be really happy if you could write your thoughts about this chapter.

The ranking was recently dropping so I was pretty surprised that the ranking by genre had started raising again.

This work is becoming a high-ranking regular by genre for some reason (<- important here), but it will continue, I have no intention of ending it, I want a bookshelf [TN: Don’t know what he means], I also have a lot of future chapters I want to write about, so if you could hang out with me leisurely then I’d be really happy.

[Translators note:]

Thank you also for reading, as I already told I’ll try to keep up a somewhat regular schedule, but I won’t promise anything.

Please leave a comment if you liked the story and want me to continue. 😉
